Redick making a "case" for himself ·
Duke star JJ Redick is starting to prove to all the doubters that he belongs in the NBA.
The smooth shooting 6’4” guard spent his Senior year co-winning the player of the year award and making pundits ponder whether he was one of College Basketball’s best ever.
However, those same pundits also questioned whether Redick had the skills to cut it at the NBA level as much more than a spot-up shooting bench player.
Recently, though, Redick is starting to turn some heads and make believers out of most.
In true NBA superstar fashion, Redick was arrested early Tuesday morning for driving while impaired. (Link) After posting $1000 bond, Redick shook hands with fans and well-wishers before telling reporters that he “wanted to spend this monumental occasion with family and friends”.
College fanatic Dick Vitale remarked “This is typical of a senior guard who has had 4 years of mentoring from the great Coach K. You’re gonna get high schoolers who NBA GM’s drool over because of their potential to be great criminals.”
“Redick is ready today, baby! Not three or four years down the road! He can commit crimes for you right now”
