HIV positive Tommy Morrison to box again ·
Boxing promoters Top Rank are putting a fight together for HIV positive Heavyweight fighter Tommy Morrison, known better to some as Tommy Gunn from Rocky V. (Link)
This is not satire. Not even we would go that far. Tommy Morrison will be fighting John Castle of Indianapolis who should be scared shitless for a countless array of reasons. Not only did Morrison test positive for HIV, but he’s one hell of a boxer. (46-3-1, 40 KOs) He has always denied being HIV positive, but that’s sort of up for debate. Or an HIV test.
Morrison’s promoter had this to say:
They’ve [doctors] told me it is possible for HIV to disappear and if that’s the case with Tommy, why shouldn’t he be able to fight…”
The odds of the other dude getting AIDS is 4:1.

Straight up bullshit, my friend. The odds of getting HIV aren’t 4:1 even if you have unprotected sex three times in a row with somebody who’s got it.
Is this other dude gonna press an open cut into one of Tommy’s? How is the blood gonna mix? ‘Cause they don’t have breastmilk or vaginas, and semen’s pretty much out of the question.
Listen. This is the kind of stuff that makes a hell of a lot of trouble later, when somebody reads it and won’t sit in the same room as somebody who’s got HIV. And all for what? For a joke? A sneer? Rocky V was shit, but this is not worth it, man.
